Unknown EXE in Drive C

Recently i have uninstalled Norton internet security software and installed kaspersky internet security. After installing Kaspersky i see some exe files in drive C. Here is the screen shot :



I scanned one those exe's in online kaspersky scanner. But they said it is not dangerous. So im still not sure why so many exe's have been made in my drive C :thumbsup:

Here is my system information :

OS : Windows XP Proffesional
Version : 5.1.2600 Service pacl 3 Build 2600
Anti Virus: Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0.0.454
Memory : 2 GB
Acer Travelmate laptop

Even viewing the image from the hosting site those were live executable files

Try submitting a couple to a jottiscan It's a little more thorough

Thanks for quick reply. I scanned 5 of these exe as u metioned but they coul dnot find anything. They are saying its clean ... But i am still confused what are these EXE's :thumbsup: so many of them ... can i just delete them? Is there any possibilty they can be servers? PLease guide me through ... im a bit lost here... thanks again....

Please write down a few of the names and what folder they were in
also, right-click on a couple of them and select Properties and see what the description says

C:\16895.exe
C:\18920.exe
C:\19482.exe
C:\32181.exe

Description:-

Type of file : Application
Location : C:\
Size : 336 bytes (all fils are the same size)
Size on disk : 4.06 kb

I would go ahead and delete them
Leave them in the recycle bin for a day or two, than empty the bin

ok i have deleted all of those EXE's. i will just wait for fiew days. Lets see if these files are created again or my system acts weired. Much appriciated mark for your assistance.
