Hi all, well, we have three computers at home, and two are now clean thanks to your help, which is greatly appreciated. Here is number three. It is the kids computer, so i'm prepared for the worst. However, we've had all the protections up for a while now, so perhaps it is fine. Here is the hijackthis log. Anything I need to worry about? Thanks in advance!!!!!!

Hi damselindistress.

The hijackthis log is not bad, mostly leftovers from a previous infection.

Spysweeper may interfere with some changes that need to be made, so shut it down before running hijackthis. I don't run spysweeper, but you should be able to right click the spysweeper icon in the system tray and choose exit or shutdown. It will restart at your first reboot.

Scan with hijackthis and place a checkmark at these lines:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1C044AAD-7955-4cbd-8175-501A165C4E5D} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\req.dat (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gah95on6] C:\WINDOWS\system32\gah95on6.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: kbms - C:\WINDOWS\Config\kbms.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: req - C:\WINDOWS\System32\req.dat (file missing)

Close all browsers and open windows, except hijackthis, and click fix checked.

Delete the following file marked in bold:

If you are not able to locate the file, some setting may need to be changed to show hidden and system files:
Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options.
Click on the View tab
Place a checkmark at "Show hidden files and folders"
Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"
Uncheck "hide extensions for known file types"
click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Reboot, then scan with hijackthis and post a fresh log.
