Okay I have been reading up throught the forums to see how I can fix my computer instead of going to best buy and pay 200 dollars.

Problem:
Internet Explorer will not open at all. AOL Explorer will open but will not load a page at all. It all started off with my browser being hijacked and viruses multiplying on my system. Malwarebytes would freeze as always and no other antivirus scanner would work not AVG, Avira, etc but I did get Kaspersky I hate it but it will do for now. Anyways I ran my combofix and restarted the computer to realize in horror no programs would load. So I installed Hijackthis and it would only work in safe mode do I read the tutorial and from that guide I had deleted some stuff and my laptop seemed to get a tad bit better.. and after running the CCleaner I was able to load some programs in Normal mode.. but Internet Explorer still don't load and my AOL explorer is not loading a page at all.

Steps I have taken:
Ran Kaspersky Anti Virus,.. gave me a false postive about my Combo Fix thats about it
Ran SUPER Antispyware
Ran Hijackthis *SAFE MODE*
Ran CCleaner.. by then I was able to at least load up some programs as well as Hijackthis in normal mode

This is my HijackThis log:

Hello Amaniark,

Posted Image

Sorry about the delay.:) If you still need help, please post a new HijackThis log to make sure nothing has changed, and I'll be happy to look at it for you. Please also update me on anything you might have done between then and now. Also, Please delete ComboFix and its accompanying folder C:\Qoobox. Empty your Recycle bin and reboot your computer. We'll get a new one when the time comes. :thumbup2:

Thanks,
tea
Please make a donation so I can keep helping people just like you.
Every little bit helps! :)
You can even use your credit card! Thank you!

Hi, sorry for the delay.

It seems from what I can gather you have made some improvements based on what I am seeing in the logs.

Let's run MBAM and see what it will show:

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
  • Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
  • When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
  • On the Scanner tab:
    • Make sure the "Perform Full Scan" option is selected.
    • Then click on the Scan button.
  • If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
  • The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
  • When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
  • Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
  • Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad.
  • The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Regardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware. MBAM may make changes to your registry as part of its disinfection routine. If you're using other security programs that detect registry changes, they may alert you after scanning with MBAM. Please permit the program to allow the changes.

If you have any problem posting the whole log try going to Edit at the top of the page you are trying to post. Then click on Select All then back to Edit again and Copy. You should then be able to right click in the reply window and select Paste.

Let's try something else and see if it will run better:

Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users
  • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
  • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
  • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here. Double-click on the hyperlink for Download Installer and save SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to your desktop. Then double-click on SASDEFINITIONS.EXE to install the definitions.)
  • In the Main Menu, click the Preferences... button.
  • Click the Scanning Control tab.
  • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
    • Close browsers before scanning.
    • Scan for tracking cookies.
    • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
  • Click the "Close" button to leave the control center screen.
  • Back on the main screen, under "Scan for Harmful Software" click Scan your computer.
  • On the left, make sure you check C:\Fixed Drive.
  • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
  • Click "Next" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
  • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "OK".
  • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
