i have window media player 10 and i wanted to know is there a way for me to burn video or wmv files to a dvd i downloaded a funny clip and i wanted to transfer it over to dvd to show my friends thanx in advance

I don't think Windows Media Player 10 allows you to burn DVDs. However if you have a CD/DVD burning program like Nero or any other such program then you can just pick the file you want to burn and use your program to burn it.
