I have a Dell computer with Windows Vista, Home Premium. I am by no means great with a computer but can navigate around well and usually get things installed. I recently purchased an ipod and can not get the itunes software to install. I can download it to my desktop but when I try to install, the status bar stalls when in the new files section. I have spent over three hours on the phone with Apple and basically am getting nowhere. I have McAfee for security. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time trying to use a forum like to assist me. Thanks to all of you willing to help!!!!

Welcome! Letís see if we canít get you rolling here. First, are you running the 32 or 64-bit version of Windows? You can figure this out by clicking Star, click Computer, click System Properties. A new window will come up.

Can you maybe disable your security software for a bit while you do this? That might help.

Cheers,
