Connecting directly to the modem, without the router, let's me download files at 500+ kb/ps, whereas when I have the computer connected through the router, downloads go at 100 kb/ps or less. I've heard that DMZ will fix the problem, but we have several computers connected to the router, is there a way to speed up all of the computers' connections? Right now we use a Dlink DI-604, and we've used it for a while and it's always been like this.

Edit: Also, I'm considering perhaps replacing my router, are there any pros and cons between getting a switch and a router, or perhaps are there any routers you recommend for speed?
