I have this generic dual joystick based USB game pad which I bought specially to play GTA IV.

Anyhow, when I start the game with the gamepad connected everything just starts to rotate 360 degrees continuoisly.
It happens with GTA IV, Vice City and GTA III

I have been to the control panel and CALIBRATED the damn thing but somehow I think that I have messed up
at this stage - particularly configuring the Z axis - it says something like "Move the Z axis all the way up and down"
but even touching the right analog stick takes me to the next screen which is where you finish off the calibration.

What is the exact process of calibrating the joystick - which sticks should I move XY axis - left or right?
And same for the Z axis. Also do I have to turn on the "Analog" mode before calibration?

Please help.
