Hi Everyone,

I just rescued a COMPAQ PC from the side or the road. It's running Windows XP Home Edition. It also has MS Works 7.0 installed.

I'm having a little trouble getting the MS Works Word Processor to work. I'm getting a message saying that it won't start because the file LTKRN13N.dll has gone missing, been renamed or is corrupted.

I'm going to do a bit of GOOGLING to locate that file, however, I haven't a clue as to where to stick it once I find it. I know that it will have to be installed in the right place or it won't work.

Can any of you shed any light on this problem?

Thanks for any help

♥ Wendy

Don't forget the option of using Open Office's Word program
It is compatible with MS documents

Hi Garmanma, Thanks for the reply and for those links. More trouble had reared its head after I posted that question and I had to run the built in recovery utility to correct it. When I did it reinstalled MS Works and that corrected the problem.

Thanks again for your time and those links.
