Well, this is the first time that I have had to post here despite the numerous virus and malware infections I have had to deal with. For the first time the combination of CA AntiVirus and MalwareBytes has failed to clear a problem. CA Antivirus reports an infection of Vundo.CEH in a file "C:\Windows\system32\cyzystno.dll", and I cannot get this file deleted. CA-AV cannot quarintine the file, MWB cannot deal with it, Killbox cannot touch it (Rename function over-ridden by a system process), etc. There are no other viruses detected by the antivirus scan. I come waving my white flag and posting my log file. I consider myself an expert PC user, programmer and system builder, but I confess I am beat. I'm planning on having a backup boot partition from now on to better facilitate the deletion of such files in the future. <sigh>...I remember when Vundo was easy. :thumbup2:

Here is the log - I suspect a link with the unnamed BHO entry:

Hi,

* Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here or Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • In case you already used MBAM previously, please update it before proceeding with the scan. To do this, click the "Update" tab and click the "Check For updates" button.
  • Once the program has loaded and updates were downloaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.

Did what you asked. It has been running excellent for two days now. I had a scare at first because it dropped my profile on the first reboot after the MalwareBytes repair. For example, I could access all of my login stuff like My Documents, desktop and such, but It did not actually use them as if they were mine. So my desktop was pretty empty, but I could go to the appropriate folder and access what should have been on my desktop. But on the next reboot it was OK.

Thanks for the excellent assistance.

Glad I could help. :thumbup2:

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.
