Hi! My husband changed the theme on our computer to an annoying motorcycle theme when I wasn't home. Usually I can change it back to the original XP themes easily by using the Display properties menu but now the XP theme isn't on the menu. How do I find ordisplay or reinstall the original XP themes? Thanks for all the help!!

Try the fix at Kelly's Korner.

Restore Themes Functionality - #187 on the left.

Right click on it and save the .reg file to your desktop. Then, double click on the file icon (on your desktop) to merge it into your registry. You may need to reboot your computer for the changes to take affect.

With any fix like this you should create a new restore point and backup the registry first. For backing up the registry I like to use ERUNT.

I found a site online that helped me reinstall the original theme back onto the computer but it's in the Classic Style. I wanted to go and change it to XP style using the Display Properties menu but now the tabs Themes and Appearance are missing from the menu. What am I doing wrong? I'm getting a bit frustrated!

Try #282 on the left on the Kelly's Korner website.
