Hello
I am running Vista Premium and am unable to access the Security Center. I can access to check for updates but cannot check Status of the security center. Unable to access Main security Center icon. Doing a malware scan now using Malwarebytes and as of now has found nothing. Scan almost complete
Thanks

Try this, click Start< Run type services.msc and press enter. The services window should open. Scroll down and locate the Security Center service. Right click the service and select properties. Under Startup type select the option to Automatic and press OK. Now highlight the service and select start the service. Security Center should now work

I'd suggest one of these free online scans to ensure that you're not infected:
(Be advised that some of these scanners will pickup things in "quarantine" from other anti-virus programs - so review the results carefully)

Do you have any other antivirus program? There are chances that the Antivirus program you are using is stopping that services or there are also chances that the computer is infected with a Virus .

Hello Bouken Red

Just ran a 2hour plus scan using Kaspersky. It found

C:\Users\Thomas\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\59\4d13647b-4a71dce6 Infected: Exploit.Java.ByteVerify

The Avast found this a couple of days ago and thought it was resolved

Also when trying to run Housecall I get this message. I uninstalled Java and reinstall but no luck. Java says it is working when I go to the Sun web page to check it. Also FF and IE8 both have it enabled.
