Can someone please help me... I don't know if this belongs here but I have a Hijack Log. If it isnt can someone please move it for me

I have 2 problems:
1. My computer just got infected with this virus. It made my homepage www.top20results.com and I get random pop-ups everytime I open Internet Explorer. And when I view websites there are ads that I think the virus put in itself?!
2. A while ago I was infected by this virus/program that makes fake internet pop-ups and fake msn sign ins that are all ads.

Can someone please help me? I'm a real beginner at this so please can someone give me really simple step to step instructions.

Yes! Thankyou! My problem was fixed!

Sadly... I was fooled by 'AntivirusGold' and I thought it was a Microsoft Update... I installed it and at first it was really quite useful and it really found all the things that was posing a problem. And then I closed it and it covered my desktop background with it's own thing and it seems to be a website that I cannot seem to close...

I tried to make use of it by changing the link to something that I like but sadly it was smarter than I am and it refreshed itself very soon...

In order to remove this infection we will need to use HijackThis to manually remove the infection:

1. Print out these instructions as we will need to shutdown every window that is open later in the fix.

2. Ctrl+Alt+Delete and end the following proccessC:\WINDOWS\system32\hookdump.exe
3. Right-click: HERE and select Save As (in Internet Explorer it's labeled Save Target As) in order to download the Smitfraud.reg file. Save this file to your desktop.

4. Configure your computer so you can see all hidden files. How To See Hidden Files

5. Download the KillBox and save it to your desktop. Extract killbox.zip to your desktop. Then double-click on the killbox.exe program.

6. When the program is open, select the option labeled Delete on reboot.

7. Do not close killbox, and open notepad, by clicking on Start, then Run, and typing notepad.exe and pressing the OK button.

8. When notepad is open, copy and paste the following bolded text into the notepad screen. You do this by highlighting each of the below bolded filenames and then pressing Control-C on your keyboard. Then click on the open notepad windows and press Control-V to paste the contents into the notepad.C:\Program Files\AntivirusGold\AntivirusGold.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\winnook.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hookdump.exe
C:\Windows\desktop.html
C:\Windows\screen.html
C:\Windows\windows.html

9. Return to Killbox, go to the File menu and select Paste from Clipboard.

10. Still in Killbox, click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click No at the Pending Operations prompt. If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

11. While your computer is restarting, tap the F8 key continually until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then press the enter button on your keyboard.

12. Using Windows Explorer delete the following files, if found, (please do NOT try to find them by "search" because they will not show up that way)
  • FOLDERS to delete (in bold) if found:
  • C:\Program Files\AntivirusGold
13. While still in Safe Mode, do the following:
  • Make sure all programs and windows are closed. Double-click on hijackthis.exe that you had downloaded and extracted earlier. When the program starts place a check next to each of the following bolded entries, if found, then click FIX CHECKED button.
  • O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [advapi32] RUNDLL32 C:\WINDOWS\Downlo~1\_IS_0518\_IS_ISC.DLL,isc
  • O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Intel system tool] C:\WINDOWS\system32\hookdump.exe

14. Locate the avgoldfix.reg file on your desktop that we downloaded earlier and double-click it. When asked if you want to merge with the registry, click the YES button. Wait for the "merged successfully" prompt then follow the rest of the instructions below.

15. Enter your Control Panel and double-click on the Display control panel, then select the Desktop tab and then press the Customize Desktop button.

16. Select the Website tab and uncheck Security Info

17. Reboot your computer back to normal mode.

18. Post a fresh Hijackthis log in your thread.
