OS: Vista Home Premium
My homepage is set to www.google.com and every time I start up my 32-bit IE7, my status bar says "Looking for www.google.com" for a little bit, flashes res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm and then says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage."
My 64-bit IE7 works just fine though, and so does Firefox 3.0.10. It's just my 32-bit IE7. So I tried upgrading to IE 8, but same issue.
I've also tried restarting and power cycling the computer, router, and modem. I have Kaspersky 7.0 and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware (trial version) installed and running.
I have tried running IE 7 and 8 both in 'no add-ons' mode but that didn't work either.
No luck on Safe Mode either.
All my other applications can go online (AIM, Live Messenger, Windows updates, etc.).
Help? And please let me know if there is any more information you need.
Thanks a bunch!
Peter
