Hello

I have an HP-Compaq 6710B Intel Core2 Duo CPU T7500@2.20GHz and 2GB Ram, with Windows Vista Business.

Lots of HP software are loaded on the computer. Most of them, I don't know what they're made for...

My stupid computer is trying to install some software from HP. It looks like it's trying to finish an installation of the software. But I have no use of the software... and don't know how to cancel definitively the installtion.

I cancel it when I can, but it's back at next boot.

How can I check and cancel an unwanted installation?

(It's not in the Control Panel / Software / Uninstall possibilities...)

I uploaded the image of the messages at every boot

It's for your printer

Download Codestuff Starter
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/starter.html
Open it and see if HP's Product Assistant shows and check the box if it does

Hello and thanks for your help.

I downloaded Codestuff starter and ran it. Apparently, HP product Assistant is not there....
What makes you think it's the printer? I have no printer directly attached to this computer (but a HP Lazerjet 6P attached to another computer of the network.)

Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the links. How did I missed them, I dunno...

Finally, I did it.

I followed the link in the HP pages to Microsoft's Windows Installer Cleanup Utility ( http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;290301 )
I took the HPProductAssistant and the problem is solved!

Thousands thanks for your help!
