windows xp proffesional

I bought a dell notebook from a friend but cant get past the password to log on , since i dont know it . Theres no way for me to get it from him. Please help.

................open a certain program in that operating system
................navigating to that certain file in that certain operating system
................and crack that certain file

if you dont have any acces in the pc
1-Enter safemode
3-type: control userpasswords2
4-Reset the atministrator password
5-restart and log-in on your new computer
