Hi! Forgive my ignorance, I normally run Linux but my Windows gaming system got infected with the Vundo Trojan, and I've done everything I can to clean it up. VundoFix doesn't detect the infection, but MalwareBytes continues to clean it and I continue to get reinfected. I am running XP-64, so Combofix nor DDS will run for me. I am behind a physical firewall (Netscreen5). I downloaded HijackThis and am happy to share logs.

I did a System Restore, but the only existing ones seem to also be infected. My OS is up to date, but Norton failed me miserably. I purchased Kaspersky, but the Trojan is preventing me from installing it. (The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation... renaming it doesn't help.) It's also preventing me from installing SuperAntiSpyware, and their FAQs didn't help solve that.

Wow, I've been fighting with this trojan for a week, but it looks like MalwareBytes just needed to run over and over. After a few more of its prompted reboots, the system came up clean!
