Please make sure you disable ALL of your Antivirus/Antispyware/Firewall before this fix.. Please visit HERE if you don't know how.. Please re-enable them back after performing all steps given..

  • Close all windows then double click on AVZ.exe
  • Click File >> Custom scripts
  • Copy & paste the contents of the following codebox in the box in the program

    begin
    SearchRootkit(true, true);
    SetAVZGuardStatus(True);
     DelBHO('{8243F26E-FAA4-48D2-8EE0-2A707279BEB0}');
     DeleteFile('c:\windows\system32\jojhfom.dll');
    BC_ImportDeletedList;
    ExecuteSysClean;
    BC_Activate;
    RebootWindows(true);
    end.

  • Note: When you run the script, your PC will be restarted
  • Click Run
  • Restart your PC if it doesn't do it automatically, and post back with a new virusinfo_syscheck.htm.

Delete your version of ComboFix and download a fresh one from below.. Run it and post the log here..

The computer had a very stubborn vundo before, that the usual way fail to fix it.. We have to use Avenger and AVZ which are both strong tools to remove those baddies..

Lets verify if your computer is good to go..

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE or HERE

Note: If you already have Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, just run and update it.. Then do a "Perform Full Scan"

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

CA Antivirus picked up one file from AVZ quarentine and looks like MBAM picked up another. Is this expected? I didn't inspect the AVZ logs> I presume that means AVZ did it's job which is way cool. Is CA Antivirus adequate antivirus/malware protection alone, or can I place adaware to run simultaneously? This is my daughters laptop, so I need to automate stuff as much as possible, as unfortunately she is not the greatest at starting manual scans, but tries to practice responsible web practices. Thanks bunches for helping me with this.

Yup.. However, those nasties are in quarantine folder thus posses no threat.. You can go to C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Desktop\avz4\avz4\Quarantine folder and delete everything inside it..

You already have CA Antivirus and also Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, which is a good combination..

You may want to add a firewall to the computer.. There's a lot of third party firewall, but for the sake of simplicity, I recommend PC Tools Firewall Plus

Computer is behaving fine. Antiviral/antimalware scans report no problems.

Thanks Fenzo, you are fabulous and this website is awesome. A Paypal donation is well worth keeping this site running.
