Hello everyone!

I submit this post to see if you can help me to know if I have a virus or similar in my computer.

A few months ago I bought the 3Mb ADSL service (with Telefonica, Spain). At first it was a bit slow, specially emule. I did call my ADSL company. While waiting for their answer I did learn to open a few ports for my emule. Then emule went on fast fast fast. Great!
But the people from ADSL came into my house to check if everithing was ok. I tolde them yes. But they wanted to be sure. Therefore they brought me a new modem. When they left I could see emule was slow again. I wanted to open the ports, but the page to do it was diferent and I couln´dt do it. So I toke out this new modem and re-installed the old one. Internet was perfect again.

Until a few days ago. I started downloading some youtube videos with UltraGet yourtube as always do and at some point the program stoped working. It said failure at downloading or something similar. After this internet started to work badly. So I did call the company and follow the steps they gave me. At the end they told me my conecctions was ok, but something in my computer was causing this problem.

I have use several times vista options to restore the system, etc... The only thing I gained from this is that now explorer and emule works. But I can´t wach youtube videos or download them. I tried other youtube downloader program, but it doesn´t work. Why? :thumbup2:

¿Can you see anything in my Hijackthis?

Hi!

I can see the problem is that my conexion to internet disconnects every 10min or so. I have not idea why.
The other problem is that I can not see videos on internet, listen to radios online, can not download freeware and my Norton Antivirus has found problems to download the updates so has not been working.
Recentrly I installed a Bitdefender trial and the weird thing is while bitdefender is working, my Norton antivirus has been able to work.
Im using CCleaner to try to maintain everything fine at registry.

So, thats the problem. I leave here my log, and at the bottom some info of my ADSL.

Hello

Have you tried the new modem? If it doesn't stop your internet every 10 mins...

I recommend remove Bitdefender or Norton, it's not good to run those two at the same time :thumbup2:

Let's scan with Mbam:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware here and save to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to:
    Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the log back into your next reply
    Note:
  • The log can also be found here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\mbam-log-date (time).txt
  • Or via the Logs tab when Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is started.

Hi Baabiouz!

Yes I tried the new modem when the ADSL guy left. I went on the router ip adress to open a few ports and I sow the configuration options where totally different from the oher modem. I didn´t understood anything. So I did put back and configurated the old one. Everything was fine by then. Few weeks later, this problem started.

And yes, as soon as this problem is solved I will keep only one antivirus. For the moment I prefer this way, as is the only otin to make my original antivirus work.

I did what you told me: ( :thumbup2: ups! sorry it´s in spanish I didn´t realize. If you want it in English let me know. It didn´t found anything wrong)

I think there will be some instructions for your new mode how-to open ports... Can you tell me some info about the modem?

Change the modem to newer one and tell me will it stop your internet every 10 mins. You can change it back to older after testing... :thumbup2:

Hi!

Mmm... my conecction now seems to work fine. ???

I will do some tests such as listen to an online radio, etc... to check it.
But today watching videos on youtube is possible. :thumbup2:

The only thing I changed (apart from all the cleaning I did last week) was to completly unistall emule.

I will some tets.

My other router is an ZyXEL somehitng, it doesn´t say the model. But I guess now we don´t need to change the modem.

Thanks again for your help, I hope this solves the problem. I heard the ADSL company I´m with is able to make your conection works wrongly if you have a P2P program, but I don´t know if thats true. Who knows.

:thumbup2: Uh! no! Doesn´t work properly. At first seemed fine, but after a while not online videos/radio.

Tomorrow will try the other modem and let u know. I say "will try" cos´ I have a terrible toothache and my head doesn´t feel on place.

Bye now!
