I have Outlook 2003 at work. If I get an email with a hyperlink and click on it all I get is a blank browser page. I then have to cut and past the link in the address bar. I assume that there is some sort of option I need to tick or untick to allow me to click on a hyperlink and have the web page open. But I am not sure where such an option is. Does anyone know?

Thanks.

  • Open up Add\Remove Programs from Control panel
  • Click on Add\Remove Windows Components
  • Uncheck Internet Explorer
  • click finish
  • Close all Applications and Restart your Computer
  • After Restarting again Check mark the Internet Explorer under Add\Remove Windows Components
That Should Work....
If it did not work then let me know again and would give another approach to it, let me know,
  • what is the Browser Version you are using
  • how many browser are installed or were installed when everything was working fine?

Thanks, Rockerz! It worked, but I don't understand why. What was the problem?

Sometimes the Registry settings get corrupt or Overwritten by another application while installation, uninstallations etc.
So, uninstalling IE and re-installing it again restores the registry entries
