Hello, All

I use a computer at work and have an HP Pavilion at home, so I'm pretty comfortable operating it, but have a whole lot to learn about security. They have a whole IT section at work, plus several servers in another location, so we don't have to worry about hackers.

But I worry about them and I'm afraid they've gotten into my daughter's computer to where she can't even get to the Administrator section and there is an extra "partition" on her computer that she didn't put there.

And I want to learn how to protect my computer further than the licensed AVG or Windows Defender provide.

I'm going to post on the Security forum, if I can to see if there are some things I can do to solve these problems.

I appreciate everyone's help, including Bleeping Computer, for putting this site on the internet.

Welcome to BC
Good to have you here
Be careful with that partition. It's probably HP's recovery partition

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
