My computer is a gateway c-140XL tablet pc running windows vista 32 bit. i let my brother use it for 2 weeks and now i cant get past the part of startup that says microsoft corporation with the loading bar. i have tried to use startup repair and sometimes it thinks it works but i still get the same problem. i have also tried hitting F10 on startup and i do not get the screen with safe mode options, but instead it says to select device (hdd, cd/dvd, floppy) or enter setup which leads to the bios, so no help there. i do not think it is the hdd because after about the first three startups with bsod's i actually was able to reach my desktop, but it ran terribly slow and froze forcing me to shut down. when i do get the bsod it ts there for maybe three seconds then restarts my computer only to do the same thing again.

a picture of the bsod if it helps

In order to boot from a CD, you must enter the BIOS and make the CD drive the first boot device

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
