I have been battling seemingly different kinds of viruses, malware, etc... for about 5 days. I had never had any sort of problems in the previous 2.8 years of using my laptop. I have installed and run Malwarebytes, SpyBot Search and Destroy, SuperSpywareDetector, RootRepeal (had to use twice), and my own Symantec Anti-virus software. Nothing has worked, and running these programs currently finds nothing. I can't open Task Manager (used regedit, and dsbltskmnger was set to the proper value) nor get rid of this stupid Red Circle with the cross in it. Help appreciated!! I ran the DDS logs, and have them ready to post if necessary.

red circle is gone now, I did msconfig so that I could finally see the startup processes. Then googled each .exe process listed until I got to hnsyntpenh.exe which looks similar to the harmless hnsyntpenh.exe. The red circle is gone, and after rebooting I am going to keep going down the startup list after using msconfig. But I can't opent the Task Manager, and am not sure if the problem is completely gone. The red circle appeared after I had battled and defeated other infections the previous day or two using rootrepeal and malwarebytes. If anyone can help me get back taskmanager please reply. Note: I already tried regedit and setting value to 0, but it already is 0.

I know we are not supposed to bump, but I have seen other issues get answered throught the day ahead of mine, can anyone help??? I still can't get Task Manager to open. It seems any infections have been removed, but I can't open task manager. When double clicking the icon for it in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386, its says

"windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386', Make sure you typed the name correctly, and try again, to search for a file, click the start button, the click search"

This is odd considering I am actually clicking this file they cannot find??

Someone please help, or at least respond?
