cannot open/access underlined external links

Hi...having this problem past few days...I can access my email, regular sites..but when I click on an external link, nothing happens.
not too computer savvy, so speak..slowly...help is appreciated ..ps have a meetup in nyc...200 members...all new requests to join...won't open...
thanks. ps computer don't does seem to be responding to simple commands, in general...just tried to change the size/fonts in this message...did not work?

Regarding links: try holding down the ctrl key while clicking on a link. If the link opens, you have an over-aggressive popup blocker.
If it turns out to be your popup blocker, you'll have to tweak the settings.
