Ok so I am computer Savvy, I can fix computers, I can program computers, but I am at a loss for this one.

My computer is acting very strange and I am not even sure where to start troubleshooting.

It all started when random programs would not close. I could not kill them in taskmgr, or from the command line using taskkill /IM /F proccess.exe . If I tried to restart the computer cannot because of this hung process. I would hard shutdown the computer and then reboot. The computer would be fine for a day or so then the same thing would happen. This was going on for a while so I Reformated my computer.

After a format I would install everything again and then after about 2 weeks the same problems would start happening. I would reformat and the same thing again. This has been on an off for a few times.

I have updated driver, only installed select programs after a reformat one at a time, test each one. I am really not sure what else to check.

Also not the hung process can be random. Sometimes it is Firefox, sometimes it is chrome, sometimes it is IE or visual studio.

Could it be hardware related? With such sparatic symptoms?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I just need some guidance.

Thank you all ahead of time,
