Hi. My antivirus -- Avira Antivirus Personal -- stopped a malware attack yesterday. I was having a problem trying to delete some leftover malware that Kaspersky's online scanner was finding, 'fivipute.exe', but I have managed to delete this file (sorry I cannot seem to edit the topic of the post to indicate this). I am concerned that there still might be some leftover malware on the system could you please check over my logs and tell me if the computer is clean? Thank you.

Looks good to me.. Lets do an online scan to make sure we got them all..

Please run a free online scan with the ESET Online Scanner
Note: You will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  • Click Start
  • When asked, allow the ActiveX control to install
  • Click Start
  • Make sure that the options Remove found threats and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
  • Click Scan
Wait for the scan to finish
  • Use Notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
  • Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic

How's the computer now? :thumbup2:

looks like everything is clean, nothing from the ESET scanner either, log pasted below. Computer is still running well, I guess the antivirus + the other tools I used before stopped/cleaned out the malware pretty well. Thanks for the help fenzo and best of luck with your presentation (I don't know why you are even concerned, just threaten to bombard the graders with malware if they don't give you high marks).
