Shop computer can't see certain websites

Howdy,

Small company, no full time computer tech, several power users changing things, now I'm the guy assigned to fix this.

Our Shop computer needs to access www.aftermarketrewards.com but the Microsoft Internet protection settings (Win98 SE) seem to be set too high. I can't seem to get the right balance of protection for this one web site.

The security setting now for Internet is High. I'm told the guys in the shop "wander" the web and to leave it at that setting. (Maybe I could use Customize ?)

Most other web sites are OK. Some do get the red circle and white dash with the Restricted Warning, but we can live with that. But when he goes to the A-M-R web site the address is listed at the top of the screen, "Done" is at the bottom and the screen is blank. With the security setting at Medium, the problem goes away.

I can't find the web address under the Restriced sites listing. I can't add it to the Trusted sites listing because it has http instead of https in its address.

I've gone to Safe Mode and tested with several Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware packages and come up clean.

Hi OldGuy1953. I don't see any problems in the log. I tried setting my IE settings to High and didn't have any problems getting to the site so I don't think that that is the issue here.

Since this is not a malware issue I suggest you post a question in the Windows 98 forum here:
