too long shutdown time

Dear friends
my system XP pro SP2 and for one month now every time I shutdown it take about 5 minutes "saving your setting" and I don't know the reason another thing I have a USB2 Pci card and Bluetooth attached to it and every time I installe or uninstall a program it getting disabled and I had to update it's driver ( the USB ) from device manager and reboot my PC more than once before it work , when this happened befor several monthes and I update the USB driver it work again without rebooting but now noway I must reboot 2 or 3 times and it take too long ,
