i just recieved the linksys befsx41 firewall router. while i was installing the router, the install program gave me the option of starting a provided Norton 60 trial. I don't want to use anything that has to do with Norton so i chose no. Must i install another firewall program on the router and how do i do this if it is neccessary?

I'm fairly certain that was for a trial of Norton 360
You do not need any added programs for the router's firewall capabilities to work
Just remember to give it a strong password and to write it down somewhere for safekeeping

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
