Not only can I not play wmv files using WMP (I have Vista) but I can't even get WMP to open. How can I fix this problem?

can you open wmp from task manager
right click on task bar choose task manager
click file(top left)
choose new task (run)
type wmplayer.exe
does wmp open ?
