I aquired Spyware 2009 Sunday night and have spent the last 2 days getting rid of it. Had to rename my malware and combofix in order for them to run, but they fixed the problem for the most part. Computer is still very sluggish, locks up, and outlook is almost non responsive. So I thought I would come ot the experts. I followed the instructions posted here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/34773/preparation-guide-for-use-before-using-malware-removal-tools-and-requesting-help/ and attacehd are the dds files. I ran combofix and it deleted several corrupted files and registry files. I have found and deleted all known remnants of spyware2009 such as sysguard, etc. I have also run avg, malwarebytes, spybot, and combofix, and all apear to be ok. I can post the combofix log if needed, but it appears that's not recommended here?

Post these next reports in-line {within body of reply box} and NOT as attachments.

Then copy/paste the following into your post (in order):

  • the latest MBAM log
  • the contents of OTListIt.txt;
  • the contents of Extras.txt ; and
  • the contents of checkup.txt
Be sure to do a Preview prior to pressing Submit because all reports may not fit into 1 single reply. You may have to do more than 1 reply.
Do not use the attachment feature to place any of your reports. Always put them in-line inside the body of reply.
