dell battery cannot be reconised. please help.

ive got a dell inspiron 1545 and ive had it for 3 months and about a week ago i started it and it camme up with a message saying battery can not be reconised so i ignored it but then my battery depleted so now im on ac power. i looked on some topics and they said update bios so i tried and it said your batter needs to be charged 10% or more to install bios.So how do i fix it if i cant download bios plz help.

This may not be the answer your looking for but if its under warranty best to let them fix the problem. You could try borrowing someones laptop and charging your battery or using their battery for the update.. The bios wont flash on AC power?
