You should be able to delete that file in safe mode, however im pretty sure that the file is a nasty, you should update your av software and do a scan, followed by installing malware bytes and doing a scan.

If it's for this http://www.alcohol-soft.com/ it isn't a nasty.

I do agree that you should boot into safe mode and try to delete it.

Malwarebytes has a feature called "File Assassin" which should take care of this for you. Just browse to the file and let it take care of it.

Thank you. I have performed full scan with Malwarebytes. File Assassin was not able to delete from recycle bin because when I open window to select file to assassin there is no option for recycle bin items. The alcohol_.exe cannot be removed, moved or restored. Is there any other thing I can do, please let me know.

I have several software in my computer, virus, firewall, registry booster, Trojans... destroyer. They all do not show anything suspicious. Prevx show unustall01.exe as a bad file. I can not continue to purchase all the software on the net. Does anyone know what does it mean (Dc238 cannot be deleted) when I try to delete alcohol_.exe from recycle bin.
Does anyone know how to see where it is located. :flowers: Please help!

just out of curiousity, have you tried restarting the computer? I know, dumb question, but I have to ask, because occasionally Ill have that problem-have a file that I cant delete (gives me that same error) but a system reboot shows it deleted.
