Hello tareland31 and welcome to the BC forums. After reviewing your log I see no signs of viruses or malware at this time the log is clean.

Are you have any specific problems at this time? If so, post back here with as much detail as possible and I will take a look at it.

Cheers.

Hi tareland31. Since this is not a malware issue I will close this topic. I would suggest posting your questions either in the Gaming forum or the XP forum. Those people are much better equipped to deal with application specific or os specific issues.

Cheers.

Previously, i said something about games program minimizingon its own, but i swear it got nothing to do with the games.
Alright this is what happens, the game minimize is due to an opening of internet explorer. But no internet explorer pops out, its there because when i tried to shift the programs using ALT+TAB, i could see the internet explorer program~ hELP!

I've reopened this thread and merged the log that was in a new topic here so efforts aren't dulicated. To remind you once again, tareland31, do not start a new topic for the same issue. I'll get with OT to see what we can do here.

We always did feel the same

We just started from a different point of view

Hi tareland31. There is still nothing showing in the log that appears to be bad. Let's check out a couple of these files and see if they have any infected content.

Go to the Jotti's malware scan page and use the buttons at the top of the page to browse to this file(s) on your hard drive to submit for a scan:C:\Windows\alaunch.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\agentsvr.exe
C:\Program Files\Happy XML\happyxml.exe

Several scanning engines will be used to check the file for any threats. Please post the results of the scans back here.

I also would like you to do the following:

Download PFind.zip and unzip the contents to its own permanent folder.

Important! Reboot in SAFE MODE !!

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:
  • Restart the computer in Safe Mode.
  • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
  • Press the Enter key.
Locate the pfind.bat file and double-click it to run it. It will start scanning your computer and could take a little while so be patient. When the DOS window closes, reboot back to normal mode.

After you have rebooted start HijackThis and follow these steps:
  • Click on Config button
  • Click on the Misc Tools button
  • Check the checkbox for List minor sections (full)
  • Check the checkbox for List empty sections (complete)
  • Click on the Generate StartupList Log button
  • Click the Yes button to create the list
Post the contents of C:\pfind.txt and the information from the StartupList and the Jotti scan information on the 3 files above back here and I will review it when it comes in.

This is the details of the Jotti scan page.

C:\Windows\alaunch.exe ===== STATUS OK

C:\WINDOWS\system32\agentsvr.exe ===== STATUS OK

C:\Program Files\Happy XML\happyxml.exe ===== STATUS :MIGHT BE INFECTED/MALWARE (Sandbox emulation took a long time and/or runtime packers were found, this is suspicious. Normally programs aren't packed and don't force the sandbox into lengthy emulation. Do realize no scanner issued any warning, the file can very well be harmless. Caution is advised, however.) (Note: this file has been scanned before. Therefore, this file's scan results will not be stored in the database)

Hi tareland31. Those files looked ok. Now let's check these:

Go to the Jotti's malware scan page and use the buttons at the top of the page to browse to this file(s) on your hard drive to submit for a scan:C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ASPTV.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ASPFM.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SETR.EXE

Several scanning engines will be used to check the file for any threats. Please post the results of the scans back here.

Cheers.

File: ASPTV.EXE
Status: MIGHT BE INFECTED/MALWARE (Sandbox emulation took a long time and/or runtime packers were found, this is suspicious. Normally programs aren't packed and don't force the sandbox into lengthy emulation. Do realize no scanner issued any warning, the file can very well be harmless. Caution is advised, however.)

Hi tareland31. This system is clean of any malware. Whatever the issue that you re having with the game you re playing is related to the game. I would check and see if there is a support forum for the game (most have them) and go there and explain what the game is doing. They might have the answer.

Since this is not a malware issue I am closing this topic. If you have any new malware-related issues in the future please start a new topic.

Cheers.
