Keyboard problem

Not sure if this is the proper place for query about this problem:
Typing "text" my cursor jumps usually backward to previous text already typed. (It happened twice typing this query).
The fault lies using the letter "t".

I have a Gateway M675 laptop; Windows XP Prof SP3.

try disabling the trackpad while typing
