I am a newbie and I'm going to attempt to build the best system. I'm 42 and bored and I think that this would be a great hobby and then maybe build PC's for other people. I am excited that I found this forum and can't wait to start building If anyone has any suggestions of where to start would be great.

Hello bmosbuddy and welcome to BC.

If anyone has any suggestions of where to start would be great.

The best place to start would be to start a new topic in the Hardware forum and outline what you want to do.

Welcome to BC!
There are already some posts about building a computer that you might want to read before posting yourself. Try to tell the members how much you want to spend, and how you are going to be using your new computer, and you will find a lot of suggestions and help from members who have build their own.
Regards,
John
