Unable to open the internet from start menu

Hi ,

I'm not able to open the internet page from the start menu. When I click on the internet icon in the start page I'm getting the internet properties window.

Your help is appreciated.

Hi, Jithendra.bk, and welcome to BC!

This can happen if there is no default browser defined for the Start Menu. Here's how to fix it:
1. Right-click Taskbar, click Properties, then select the Start Menu tab
2. Click Start Menu radio button (not the Classic Start Menu button), and click theCustomize button
3. In the Show on Start Menu section, select a browser from the drop-down list (you probably want Internet Explorer)
4. Click OK and close the dialog
