Hi,

My brother in law has a PC with an internal Blueray burner. He is running Windows Vista ultimate. Whenever he tries to burn any kind of disk (CD, DVD, Blue ray) the machine reboots. On successful reboot he is able to burn the disk no problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Pete

What program is he using? Has he tried others?

Hi,

The brother in law here. The strange thing is, it does not matter what burning software I use, it always reboots the computer just as its about to burn.
Also sometimes it reboots the pc just after I have put the disk into the drive, even before I start burning.

But once the pc has rebooted, it will burn ok to the same disk, with no other programs running.

The software I am using are

ConvertX to dvd
Ashampoo Burning studio 8
Easy dvd creator

Thanks

Chris

"Easy dvd creator"

I think that is your problem.
There is a known Windows & Roxio Easy dvd creator issue.
OCZ StealthXstream 700W,Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R , E8500, Arctic Freezer Pro 7, 3GB G.Skill PC8500,Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 OC [1GB ], Seagate 250GB SATA II X2 in RAID 0, Samsung SATA DVD burner.

Hi,

The Easy DVD Creator software I am using is not made by Roxio, but by a company called Ether Software.

I will delete this software and try burning something....
