Hi all, I have a PC running XP pro. I want to be able to dial in to this machine via the telephone network from my laptop and access the broadband link. My first thooght is Remote Desktop. My ES56T-PI modem does not seem to respond to i/c calls. W on LAN is enabled in BIOS. Modem is allowed to bring system out of standby. Objective is to access the internet from free dial up access, (used to have free access from AOL anywhere but they changed the contract without asking me!).

I am often in locations without broadband, wireless hotspots etc. and my only reliable link is a POTS phone line.

Any advice welcome ... please.
