Active Desktop Recovery

I'm having problems with the Active Desktop Recovery and the white screen. I tried following the directions to remove it but, no luck. When I get to the part of applicationdata\microsft\internetexplorer .

when I get to the part of internet explorer it isn't there.

Please help me.
