I think I have finally rid my system of ClickSearchClick, however, I still cannot change my desktop theme. It simply will not let me. Please advise.

some viruses are just unrecoverable from, in those cases. Its best to just do a clean format and start over.

Submit a HJT log to the HJT section of the forums, and someone will be able to help you. We have a team here that definately knows how to recover from malware without reinstalling.

You probably have pother malware floating around that needs to be removed yet.
