Hey... i've got a USB problem here

I just got a new Seagate Hard disk 1 month ago. it was working perfectly fine until recently it stopped being detected under 'My Computer'
I checked the Device Manager and it says: "This device is disabled. (Code 22) Click Enable Device to enable this device."
when i try to enable it it says that "Windows was not able to enable this device"

i don't know what the problem is. But the device is working fine on another laptop, a macbook.

can somebody help me out? thanks alot for reading this post :)

FWIW: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310123

You tried different USB ports?

Try other USB devices in port drive was plugged in?

Check Device Manager for status of USB controller?

I would uninstall the USB controllers and then reboot and let them reinstall.

I would remove the drive from the enclosure and attach it directly to the motherboard.

Drive can be bad...enclosure can be bad...USB ports can be bad.
