I received the following. I Thought they were interesting reads so I thought I would share them here:

This is eerie...and something to think about since America is typically
>>>represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim
>>>passages. The following verse is from the Quran, (the Islamic Bible)...

>>>Quran (9:11) -- For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a
>>>fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands
>>>of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more
>>>rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and
>>>there was peace.

>>> (Note the verse number!!!!!)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Sr. Citizen's View of Bush Admin.

>Dear Sir:
>
>I am a senior citizen.
>
>During the Clinton Administration I had an extremely good and well paying
>job. I took numerous vacations and had several vacation homes.
>
>Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life change for
>the worse.
>
>I lost my job.
>
>I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.
>
>I lost my home.
>
>I lost my health insurance.
>
>As a matter of fact, I lost virtually everything and became homeless.
>Adding insult to injury, when the authorities found me living like an
>animal, instead of helping me, they arrested me. I will do anything to
>insure President Bush's defeat in the next election.
>
>I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure that a Democrat is
>back in the White House come next year. Bush has to go. I just thought you
>and your listeners would like to know how one senior citizen views the Bush
>Administration.
>
>Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
>
>Sincerely,
>

After a little research, I came up w/ this info. from

Urban Legends.com.

Comments: Truth be told, the word "eagle" doesn't appear anywhere in the Muslim holy book, the Qur'an. Neither, it goes without saying, does this phony verse combining American symbolism (the bald eagle is the official national emblem of the U.S.A.) with recent history and Islamic prophecy. Verse 9:11 of the Qur'an is about repentance and reads follows in three different English translations

(1) But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand
(2) But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge
(3) But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.

Whoever wrote that verse, wrote it well, it seems like it was written in some holy book.

I studied Islam and the Quran for 2 1/2 years and I can assure you the story is nothing but an Urban Legend. But since 9/11, so many bogus emails/letters have come through our inboxes that it's worth considering sorting out the facts from the fiction. For example, how many of us received the whole Nostradamus predictions? Bogus from beginning to end. In this day and age, with this being an election year, I think I can speak for others when I say we can do without the propaganda.
My 2 cents and nothing more.

Thank you for the clarity on this subject. Like I said previously I never opened the Quran. I can assure this wasn't any type of political propaganda. Just thought It was erie and huge coinsidence. But I guess most Urban Legends are...
