okay so i bought a new acer aspire one, updated the ram, updated to vista and everything has been fine. recently though the sound for some apps has stopped working. the two most noticeable ones are Windows media player, and SlingPlayer. windows media player will start to play the video but then gives me an error saying that the file may be in a different location, or might be in use. ive tried multiple files and all the same thing. Slingplayer streams video grat, but no audio. other apps, and sounds work fine though. any ideas?

Hi spunks3,

You can click over here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...ecs/codecs.aspx and make sure you have the latest codecs.

Also, if you’re having problems with the Sling player, you might try checking out this site: http://support.slingmedia.com/go/desktop.

Cheers,
Ron S
