What kind of Camera is it? Have you ever used it before? What version of Windows are you using? Lastly the USB port Thingy, is this directly on the computer or is it a USB hub (many USB ports connected to the computer with One cable).

Edit:  To Bleeping computer. I noticed that you have an Open HJT log and are currently receiving help on that Forum. This topic will be temporarily closed while the HJT team concentrates on your Virus removal. Once they clear you feel free to ask the HJT team member or my self to have this topic re-opened.

Webcam: Microsoft LifeCam 1.4

I've used it before but I had a virus on this laptop and I had it fixed. They cleaned off everything on my laptop and I used it before and everything worked fine. I was even able to just plug in my webcam without even installing the software and it'd work! So I think maybe that they might've deleted something. And also, all the other things I try to plug in don't work too!

Windows XP

The USB thing is in the laptop at the back of it. There's two and I tried plugging my webcam in both but it just won't work.

By the way, the virus thing is all good. Thanks to you guys and a friend, I got it removed. :D

Now that you have done a system restore, are there any yellow exclamation marks in your Device manager?

Click on enter a tag number then click on the How do I find my service ID tag under where you Enter the number
Click on the link above it will tell you how to find it.
ITs a little white sticker probably located on the bottom or back of the laptop is has a number preceded by a letter and it has a bar code on it.

Edit: broken link

 Are you able to get anything to work through the USB ports. Keyboard, printer, anything?

xD No, nothing works for my laptop when I plug it into the USB ports. All I hear are 3 bleeps when it's plugged in, 2 when plugged out.

I am leaning towards a USB hardware failure, which means they need to be replaced with a PCMCIA USB adapter card.

They look nothing like what I can use. Do you need a picture of the back of my laptop of the USB ports?

Those cards insert into your Card slot on the left of the Laptop. I looked it up on the Dell website and it lists that the laptop has the slot.
