Ive never had a problem with spyware or malware on this computer, which ive had for almost 3 years, but yesterday I was downloading my class notes from the schools library e-reserve website, when all of a sudden my computer got really slow, and then i started receiving pop ups every 5 minutes which are mostly about making my computer faster and cleaning my registry. Also Since this happened my computer has been constantly "loading" if you know what I mean, my internet and computer are just very slow now. I have ad-aware, symantec antivirus and pc-cillin. In my symantec anti virus quarantine there are 5 things which are unable to be cleaned. One is "antivirus2009" filename: XP_AntiSpyware.exe, then 2. "trojan Horse" filename: VSSVKATN.09R, 3. "Bloodhound.Exploit.213" File name: AcrDA69.tmp, 4. "Trojan horse" filename: A0097213.dll and 5. "trojan horse" Filename: mediaplayerplg.dll. Full system scans using ad aware, symatec and pc-cillin show now viruses or malware. So i figured I would post my log here and I can use Hijackthis to delete them. The only thing im worried about is I do not have any of my stuff backed up, I never have the time or money to back my data up so now im worried that it might all get ruined. Please help, any help is greatly appreciated.

Well i Downloaded spybot search and destroy and when i first ran it it found the some vundo trojan among other things, and it said it successfully cleaned them, but my problems did not go away, the next day I tried running spybot again but about halfway through I got the blue screen of death about a fatal error and etc, I ran to best buy picked up a bunch of blank dvd's and started recording all my pictures and important files onto them, now i am very hesitant to run spybot again. As i was doing this symantec antivirus found a vundo trojan and said it was successfully cleaned, but I still have problems. More problems I have noticed are that I can go to youtube.com, but I cant search for videos. Facebook profiles load extremely slowly or not at all, and playing music on myspace is near impossible. Also last night I was unable to put my computer into hibernate or to shut it down, I had to use the power button to turn my computer off. The pop ups ive been getting are from IE explorer, but it has a weird looking firefox logo in the topleft corner, I usually only use firefox. Also, when I open task manager, what ever is selected keeps flashing. Please help, I have Finals and exams coming up soon and it would be really helpful to have a working computer for them. Thanks alot. Here are updated logs.

Hi negativepulse4

Sorry for the delay in response to your thread.

If you still require help:

Step 1
Please disable Spybot S&Dís TeaTimer protection, because it is known to interfere with our fixes.
You can enable it again after you're clean.
Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' then click 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.

Reboot the computer.

Step 2
Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2
Link 3

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.
**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Posted Image

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Thanks
