I just downloaded UUSee and it deleted my pictures and videos from my Desktop. I am wondering if I can get those pictures and videos back somehow?? Also, do I have a virus on my computer because of what happened? I have not tried system restore or safe mode yet, I am waiting to hear what to do for the best possible way to regain my pictures and videos hopefully.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am using Windows XP Home, 2002 Version, Service Pack 1.

Thank you again in advance!

Have you checked to see if these are still in your Trashcan (recycle bin)?
Cheers,

Thank you quietman for the link. Jqweed - I have nothing in the recycle bin unfortunately. My computer is running fine since it happened, but just wiped out all my pictures and videos on my Desktop. Did searches for some of the filenames, etc, but they didn't show up. Just not sure how to proceed from here. Whether to try and system restore, try the Data Recovery Tools, Safe Mode, or any other fix??

Thank you for the suggestions.
