software problem

msconfig,regedit & task manager appears briefly and then disappears.
when i open search or system restore all i get is a blank screen.
can anybody help me with this problem

Try F8 at startup > safemode, see if you're getting the same there? Maybe then you could perform the system restore.

Hello benny and welcome to BC.

These are the classic symptoms of a malware infection. This is done so the malware can protect itself. I strongly suggest you submit a HiJack This Log for our team to have a look at. See How to submit a Hijackthis Log.

You may be able to access IE Internet Options through Windows Explorer. If so, delete your temporary internet files. You can also delete those files manually through the same method.
