I recently upgraded to XP SP3. I then apparently got some Rogue Antiviruses in my computer and now, all of a sudden, the computer does not boot past the wallpaper. When I try to boot into Safe Mode, it does no go past the black screen with the 4 corners saying "Safe Mode".

I cannot do a restore because neither of these things work.

I was thinking of using a program called UBCD4Win to create a recovery disk with a virus scanner in it.

Any suggestions?

Ultimate Boot Disk may indeed allow you to boot and fix some (if not all) of your problems...

Once you are able to boot properly I would strongly suggest that you open up a new topic here:
