I need help, my laptop (Toshiba M40-313) has a very long shutdown time.
A bit of recent history - it got a Trojan, I managed to get rid of it with Super AntiSpyware Free edition. I also un-installed Windows SP3 and installed one from another source as I read somewhere that it could have been the SP3 that allowed the trojan in the first place.
I also re-installed Windows, wiping it first.
Now the laptop "hangs" when I click shutdown or restart, could take as long as 10 mins to shut down, in that time it remains on the desktop screen, and Control Alt Delete is disabled. Please help!
I am running Zone Alarm & AVG all the time, but have Spybot, Super Anti Spyware & Malwarebytes to hand to scan if need be...
I have tried all the registry fixes to speed up shutdown but none seem to work, I need a real solution.
