Computer running terribly slowly and found weird processes like afisicx.exe running using Task Manager (couldn't end process) and confirmed presence in Services but couldn't stop them. Found them in WINNT/System32 but couldn't delete them with Mcafee or explorer.

Feel embarrassed for not having done bigger and better search on web and worked out how to deal with this myself, but slow computer tries my patience...

dds log here:

  • Notepad will open with the results, click no to the Optional_Scan
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet. You can find information on A/V control HERE
